Hi, I'm Danielle Wellen!
I'm a media producer, filmmaker and storyteller based in Toronto. I recently graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with an MA in media production, in addition to my BA from Brock University in dramatic arts with a concentration in production and design.
I'm passionate about bringing underrepresented stories to the spotlight. My master's project focused on the underrepresentation of women with ADHD in media, and the positive impacts that authentic, creative storytelling can have on how audiences understand themselves and others.
Throughout my undergraduate degree, I worked at BrockTV, Brock University's student-powered media outlet, where I created original video content, directed sports livestreams, operated cameras, and edited videos.Â
I've also worked as a set dresser on productions including Murdoch Mysteries, gaining valuable experience in professional film and television environments.
Whether I'm developing a new concept, producing a video, or collaborating with a creative team, I'm drawn to stories that challenge assumptions, spark conversation, and connect with audiences in meaningful ways.
